It’s an exciting moment when the page proofs arrive and you finally get to see how your book is going to look. Framed by a Smoking Gun is typeset in Adobe Garamond Pro, an old-style serif typeface with a history going back to French printer Claude Garamond in the sixteenth century. It is elegant and easy to read, and I do think it has the most beautiful italic ampersand!
