Here in Cambridge we are sorry to be missing the usual Science Festival fun this year – everything is cancelled for obvious reasons. So to satisfy anyone who has a need for a few chemistry demos, here are some photos from my launch event back in October. I’ll see if I can get some video clips sorted too. To start us off, this truly amazing shot of Jim Gamble firing a tallow candle from Shaw’s Crimean war musket.
